A popular place to stop in the Handwerkerhof is the Fränkische Weinstube. Nestled against the city wall, the rustic tavern has been tempting guests with tempting culinary delights and regional wines since 1972. The wine-covered inner courtyard invites you to a cosy get-together.
Pure pleasure: Under the management of Ute Jungnick
The culinary offer of landlady Ute Jungnick is regional and seasonal. Typical Franconian "Schäufele", "Blaue Zipfel", "Stadtwurst" and the obligatory "Bratwürste" - who's mouth isn't watering right away? Seasonal dishes such as asparagus or onion tart go down well with locals and visitors alike. And the "surprise plate Franconian style" offers special treats. And during happy hour, you can get a Bocksbeutel at a reduced price.
The wine carousel is very well received: six different grape juices to try, exclusively Franconian. "Who needs Italian wines when you have such a large selection of local wines," says the innkeeper's daughter Ute Jungnick. She works "where others go on holiday". And welcomes her guests with beaming eyes.
Traditional and quaint: a cross-generational culinary oasis.
The wood-panelled taproom is also their personal nursery. The third generation is already spoiling all lovers of Franconian cuisine with regional specialities. The food is served in traditional costume, dined under typical Franconian ceiling pictures, the table linen is red and white chequered ... No wonder that the many regulars feel at home!

But tourists are also very welcome in this rustic pub. There should be no communication problems: The menu is available in a wide variety of languages for the international public. In addition to the usual English, French, Italian and Spanish, the landlords also offer their Schäufele and Presssack in Japanese, Chinese and Russian. And the latest variant: in Braille!
The wine tavern can also be rented for events. Enjoy a Franconian evening here in great comfort with the best catering.
